| Kaaren's Eye | Ken sent me (Bryan) the following message. Please pray for Kaaren's recovery. Kaaren visited the ophthalmologist yesterday and found that her injured eye is more serious than the ER doctor surmised. It seems she suffered a retinal concussion. She has: Choroidal rupture Berlin’s edema Traumatic hyphema. I don’t understand all the above, but she will have a permanent blind spot enlargement [we all have a blind spot, but hers will be larger], she runs a risk of future eye problems, and for a while she has to be very careful to avoid retinal detachment. She has to sleep in a position to keep pressure off the eye and has to avoid any activity that could put a force on it. Her vision is still a bit blurred. She is applying a salve to the eye each waking hour. | 01-03-2012 |
| Faye and Family | Please be in prayer for Faye N and family. Her father died on Sunday evening. Pray the sweetness of her Dad's presence with the Lord might temper the bitterness of his earthly death. | My Mom Submitted by: Marilyn | Thanks to all who have prayed for my mom and her extended medical treatment. She is now comfortably esconsed in a private nursing home called Caring Bridges, 107 7th Ave. She and my dad seem much more relaxed. Please keep praying for their total surrender to Jesus. I believe they are done with fighting it medically and are now just waiting for things to play out. Please pray for Randi's strength as she supports and cares for her husband. | update Submitted by: sylvia | My son,Kenny, went for second opinion after urgent care doctor left him with no medical reason for what was going on in his body. Next doctor found raspy lung and irration in his throat possibly caused by a medication he has been on. gave him breathing treatment and meds to help. no obstruction in throat. He feels much relief.
